Can't Wait For ShutUp? FlipSilent Is Here!

Samir had us all on the edge of our chouch when he gave us a preview of his upcoming application, ShutUp! Unfortunately the French developer is still very preoccupied with RotateMe and NokMote. So someone else has step up to the dance floor, someone called Tong Ren. Tong Ren has developed an application with the similar function of ShutUp, called FlipSilent.

FlipSilent is a small software which makes you use your phone in a more natural way:
When you are in a meeting or dating, and a call is coming in, you can flipover your phone to make it go into the silent profile and hang up the phone call — without touching anything on the phone, just flip it over, your phone will go into silence.
The best thing about FlipSilent is that it also works with alarms instead of just phone calls as on ShutUp (though I cant confirm this as ShutUp is not out yet). Definately a plus as it is much easier to just flip your phone in the morning and let it go into snooze instead of trying to press the right button.

After trying out the application for myself i have to admit it's pretty well done out, but it would be handy if there was a hot key to deactivate it in future releases. The reason for this is because FlipSilent switches profiles even when your phone is locked, meaning there's going to be a lot of yoyo-ing between profiles when the phone is in your pocket.

You can check out the developer's website for this great piece of application here.
Oh BTW this only works with Symbian 3rd edition phones having the accelerometer, which translates to: It's only going to work on an N95. Have fun!
