Well this little handy application has been out for a while now, but for those of you who are still unaware of how powerful and handy it is, or are just wondering how to make it work, read on.
Earlier this year we got a pleasant surprise when the N95 was able to use the multimedia keys for gaming, but was limited to only two keys, and only for n-gage games. ...but all that is about to change, with MagicKey you can now map any particular key to another, making Nokia devices truly "Open To Anything" and redefining the mobile gaming experience all together.
Step 1:
Download the application:
Download MagicKey Here
Step 2:
You can either install the application to your phone memory or memory card, it doesn't make a difference. Please note that the file is unsigned, so you will have to sign the file before installing it.
Step 3:
The video above gives you a rough idea of how MagicKey works, but for your convenience I will guide you step-by-step
1. Open the MagicKey application.
2. In the app itself, switch over to the "KeyMap List" tab.
3. Select Options > Add, then click "Add Key Pair".
4. When you get the "Original Key/ Maps to" pop up as shown above, click the centre key.
5. Then you should get a new screen displaying a long list of keys for you to choose from.
6. If you want to map the number "3" key to the "forward key", type in "forward" in the key list and it should be there for you to choose. Select it by clicking the centre key once again. (This is the "Original Key")
7. Then move down to the "Maps to" area and click the centre key again. Once more you will get the same list of keys, but type in "3" and select it just as you did earlier.
8. Now click "OK" and go back to the "App list" display. (Still in the MagicKey app itself)
9. Here, you can add any application of your choice. Then select a key map you defined earlier.
10. Exit the application and you can now use the new set of keys for gaming! : )

Known Issues:
For now MagicKey somehow is not able to dedicate itself to N-gage, but don't worry there's a workaround for this bug.
1. After defining a set of keys for your n-gage games, you will have to set this desired keymap to "All apps" instead of "Games" (n-gage application).
2. This means that the multimedia keys will be mapped to any other key you set in ALL APPLICATION of the phone.
3. It's great for n-gage gaming, but you now can't change tracks with it??
Don't worry, here is how to fix that bug too:
1. Since we mapped the n-gage keymap to "all apps", we now have to create a new keymap to ensure the functionality of the multimedia keys for music playback still works.
2. To do this, simply map the keys back to the forward and rewind buttons, and now set this 2nd keymap to be used in the Music Player ONLY.
3. Now you can play games with the multimedia keys, while also retaining their original purpose, Sweet!

I know this is all a little confusing, so guys as usual please do not hesitate to leave a comment if you have any problems.
